The holiday season is upon us and I can already sense the hustle and bustle coming our way. This year I am really wanting to simplify this time of year. I want to simplify our schedule, menu and memory making. In the months to come I look forward to helping you do the same! Simple Holiday Traditions are what give true meaning to this time of year. Let me share with you some ideas that may enrich your season!

Family is the most important part of our holiday time especially Thanksgiving and Christmas! As a momma I want to find ways for my kids to be involved in the festivities and celebration of gratitude, hope, love, peace and joy this season brings! I can not wait to share all the ideas I have in store for you! Today I want to share our inspiration from Hallmark and all the precious holiday trinkets, toys and treats we were blessed to enjoy!

2.Decorating the house and Tree (treeS in my house as I love one in EVERY room…the kids love having their very own to decorate and put small gifts under)
3.Advent Calendars
4.Family Movie Night with Christmas Vacation
5.Hot Cocoa with candy canes and marshmallows…most days…hehe
6. Gingerbread houses
7. Creating homemade décor and gift wrapping
8. Doing nice things for others
9. Eating turkey, pumpkin pie, stuffing, pot roast, sparkling cider….I am getting hungry
10. Baking breads and cookies to decorate and share

My sweet daughter and I were in love with the mini baking kit we bought from Hallmark! She got to play a part in mixing and rolling the dough as well as EATING…she loved that the best!

The morning was spent just her and I creating our cookies together. Memories were made and fun was had. This is what the holidays are about! It is not the stuff or the hustle and bustle…it is the LOVE and quality time we spend with each other! The simple things in life IS THE GIFT during this season!
