As a mother, I love sharing parts of my childhood with my kids. Art has always been a part of my life as long as I can remember. I just love the process of creating and how soothing getting lost in art is. Lately, I have been making scratch art with my kids. They have really enjoyed it and I think your kids will too!

This is one of the simplest forms of art you can create with products you are sure to have around your home.
All you need to create scratch art with your kids:
The steps are just as simple to guide your kids in creating scratch art.
To create scratch art:
- Encourage your child to color their entire paper in any colors they want. The more vibrant colors they pick the better.
- Once their page is fully colored then they can proceed by covering it up with black crayon. Make sure they are applying enough pressure to fully cover their under layer of crayon.
- Once they have fully covered their page with black crayon they can then scratch through to create the desired designs they like.
This is such a fun and simple project that can be made anywhere with just some paper and crayons that will keep your kids busy for at least 30-45 minutes! I would be lying if I did not admit I still love making my own scratch art too!
