Yippeeeee! It is here, the Christmas bells are ringing, the music is playing, sugar cookies are dancing in my tummy, Christmas crafts are strung, gifts are being wrapped and I am HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY! There is so much excitement and fun to be had this season but with it can come A LOT of stress! I am focusing on slowing down this Christmas season as much as possible and savoring the moments. I want to help you savor the holidays better!
I was laying in bed last night with a big smile on my face. The reason being was that the last several days I had felt successful in truly simplifying life, slowing down and savoring friends, family and making memories. The joy of being truly PRESENT in life is such a gift! There are several things I have been doing lately to get where I am today.
Here are a few ways to savor the holiday season better:
- Say NO! saying “no” to some things is really saying “yes” more to yourself, your kids and family and the things that really matter to you. It is OK to not attend 5 Christmas parties this season if you don’t want to.
2. Don’t procrastinate. If you haven’t finished your shopping yet DO IT NOW! I have been completing all my shopping before December 1 for years now and it is SO helpful to reducing the stress of the season. I am loving Ebates this year because you EARN money back from shopping as you usually would. Check out Ebates NOW!
3. Set goals for spending quality time with your loved ones. I always have a list of things I love to do this season that encourage memory making and savoring the moment. You can print this Holiday Bucket List here.
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to come! Dovidenia. XO
