I love easy family-friendly meals that even my most pickiest eater with devour! These Homemade Meatballs are such a versatile recipe that can easily be modified. Having trouble increasing vegetable intake with your family? Add extra veggies to a delicious marinara sauce…your family won’t even notice!
These Homemade Meatballs are complemented well with Bertolli’s Riserva pasta sauce. I love it when I can find a homemade tasting pasta sauce full of healthy and simple ingredients! I used the marinara flavor. To sneak additional vegetables to the sauce I often will dice up onions, spinach, mushrooms or steamed carrots into the sauce. It is so easy to ramp up the vegetable factor in a meal when you have pre diced veggies on hand in your kitchen (hint, hint wink). This increases the antioxidant “punch” to this meal! For added heart healthy fiber use whole wheat pasta (I like angel hair for it’s more delicate texture when using whole grain).
