  • 1/3 cup sugar (You may substitute with a calorie free sugar substitute to reduce each serving by 54 kcalories.)
  • 1/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1/3 cup hot water
  • 4 cups 2% milk (You may substitute with a low calories almond milk to reduce each serving by 90 kcalories.)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla *optional
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon *optional


  1. Add sugar, cocoa and water to pan over low to medium heat and stir mixture to create a chocolate sauce.

  2. Add milk, salt, vanilla and cinnamon to mixture and bring to a low simmer for about 5 minutes until mixed and nice and warm.
